Monday Evening

Greetings from beautiful Bavaria.  Monday was a day of continued enjoyment.  The morning was spent shopping and walking the streets of downtown Erlangen.  Once again we were struck by the comfortable pace of the city, the genuine friendliness of the people, and the spontaneous merriment that the team can have together.  In the afternoon we visited a Roman Catholic Basicila that honored fourteen "saints".  The building was beautiful in location and architecture.  But the tour was sobering as we were once again reminded of the lostness of the people.  It prepared us spiritually for the evening volleyball match with a local club team.  The match was evenly played.  The German team was made up of ladies aged 20-25.  They had height, athleticism, talent, and played hard.  For that reason we gave up the fourth game after taking the first three by close margins.  After the game we taught them "Bind Us Together" with the hand motions, gave them a video presentation of the gospel, and provided them with a Team Germany T-shirt.  The spirit was great before, during and after the game.  The German players and coaches were very disappointed that we could not play more and have a cook-out together.  The church in Erlangen showed great support and are already making plans for future games and follow-up.  Once again the Lord blessed with a great day.  Thank you for your prayers.

Today, tomorrow, and Wednesday our schedule allows for little time to blog.  Tomorrow and Wednesday we start at 8:00 am and go through 10:00 pm.  The days will be filled with travel, fellowship, volleyball, and always ministry.  In light of that we will do our best to communicate, but it will be limited.  We trust you enjoy the new picture gallery of our day in Erlangen.

It has been so wonderful to see the photos of the team and get a glimps of you, Kirsten!! That German part of you is looking right at home! I am so grateful for the technology that your leaders are using...can't say I have ever checked the net so much before!! It certainly has been a blessing.

Praying continuous that all will go well, that the Lord will continue to use you all for His glory and that your experiences there will make a lasting impression for all. Kirsten, it is so exciting to read your words..

Todd and I were out celebrating our anniversary...got him some clothes at Kohl's for his new job.

We will see you this weekend and will continue to look for words and pictures.

Our love to you and your MBBC family!! Mommy Jan

Hey Team Germany!

I was finally able to sit down and read all of your posts. :) I have been praying for you, and it is exciting to read how God is working! I wish I could be there with you! Summer school is going well, busy, but that's normal right? Continue in your daily walk with God, and I'm excited to hear what else He will do in and through you!

"Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being." Psalm 146:1-2

Love and prayers,
Abigail

Hey Holly!

Sounds and looks like you're having the time of your life! Thanks to whoever is keeping us updated with pictures - we feel so much a part of everything that way!
The volleyball game and interaction looked super - how exciting to know that your physical talents and team spirit will bring eternal rewards as well as lots of fun now. Glad to hear that the competition was even - both sides go away happy. :)
We're shocked that you've been shopping - ha.
We missed you on Mother's Day - your mom had EVERYONE home except her redhead. Sat. Andy planted flowers at your house and then worked at camp with your dad, KT was at Great America, and the ladies played! And EVERYONE is anxiously awaiting your arrival on Friday!
We pray for you and the whole team every morning on the way to Madison!
Love, Us

Hey Nadine, I don't know if you were able to get my email but I just wanted to write you really quickly in case you didn't. Things here are going well. I have a test every other day which makes things interesting but it's going pretty well. I wrote you a huge email the other night and then my computer froze and I lost it all =(. That was a bummer. Anyway, it sounds like you guys are having an amazing time! It's so cool to hear all the stories and to look at the pictures on the blog. Oh, and I decided that we weren't going camping, just to let you know. I hope that you have a wonderful day and that you can get time to blog soon! I love you, miss you, and can't wait to hear from you soon. Praying for you and the team.
