From Mandy
We started this morning with devos as a team. Then we headed for the school. We split up into three different groups taught three different classes. The first class we taught was a sixth grade class. there were about 20 students in the class. We were teaching them English. The first thing we did with them is we played the name game with them, and they had to say it in English. Then we taught them how American people eat oreo cookies. We then played a game that made them think of vocabulary words and spell them. We also played a tic-tac-toe game with vocabulary words. After we were done teaching them we all gathered in the school yard and they tried teaching us some German! Needless to say, they were much better at English than we were at German. Hi family, i bet you thought i forgot about you but oh no.... i sure did not!!! Hello to my mother and my father and my sisters and brother-in-law. Also to my niece who will be born in June i miss you all!!

Hello mom, dad, family, and friends. Germany is great! Today I was able to help teach a 6th grade class conversational English. We used Oreo cookies for a lesson and they loved them. We sure have been walking alot...that is for sure. The gasoline here is about $8 a gallon, so walking is the best option for us. Tomorrow we are supposed to be playing volleyball for the first time. I think we are all excited about that. In about half an hour we'll be sitting in on another conversational English class here at the Talley's house. Then tonight we're eating at our bed and breakfast and just relaxing. Ok well the girls are telling me I'm taking too long here...just one more thing...If coach is reading this, I got your unground coffee and am working on the dark chocolate, but most importantly, I still love soccer coach, so no worries!<ö TTYL, Julie

"Removing stones" as Mr Trainer said. As Mandy and Julie said; we got to go into the classrooms and teach the students some english, specifically how to eat oroes the American way and shapes to the 4th graders. Though it wasn't necessarily what you think of when you hear missions work, Mr. Trainer described it as 'removing stones' so the Talleys can sow seeds later. It's awesome to be a part of a new work here (especially when it includes oreos:-) Don't worry mom I have been writing it all down.
A group of us found a novelty in the grocery store today: sudoku games on toilet paper! We've been playing sudoku in our spare time and thought it might be a great addition to our supply of books, if nothing else it would be a great conversation starter:-) Right now some German students are here and we are playing concentration using GERMAN numbers. Rather humorous!!!
Got to go join. Love you mom, dad, family, and friends!!!!
