Hey everyone! First of all, alles gute zum Geburtstag Zach! That means happy birthday in German, but before you get too impressed, I had Ben, the missionary's son write that for me. :o) I'm sorry it's a little late, but I hope that you had an awesome birthday, Zachy! You are growing up so fast! I miss ya bud! Everything here is going so well! Like everyone said, getting into the schools today was so fun! The kids are adorable! I've said some pretty dumb things already, but what else is new? From culture to culture, some things just never change... :o) Well, I hope everything is going well for you all back home! miss you guys! Love You!
From Kedra
While the other groups were teaching English, some of us were able to put tracts in mailboxes. Deb and I had a good system to putting them in the boxes that are stacked 10 high! As we were walking around again I noticed how quiet and sad the people are. But the children are different than the older people. Today was amazing being able to teach English in the schools. The 6th graders knew more than what we thought they would know. But that made it a little easier to be able to talk to them. It was neat to see how willing they were to talk to us and help us learn German, not that we remember too much of it. We had a lighter afternoon until the afternoon English class at the house. There were 5 children that came over. The games we played were interesting but fun- we ended up speaking more German! The 2 girls came to dinner with us just to keep talking to us and learning more about the States and us.
Mom and Dad- I hope the house still looks good! We are having a great time but a lot of walking! I love you and miss you!!
Eric- I hope you are having a fun break! I miss you too! I held hands today with a very cute guy, I hope you don't mind - I thought of it as part of the cultural exchange experience. His name is John, by the way, and he is almost 5 years old!!!
