From Kirsten--
First I want to say 'Hi' to my mom. The reason is I will be so proud of you for getting on the internet and reading this! Next, I want to say I am extremely grateful that God has allowed me to come on this trip, He has already answered prayer. Before we even reached Germany, I had the opportunity on the flight from London to Berlin to speak to a German man about Christ. It was a huge eye opener for me that made me seriously think about what I believe. It was an awesome way to start the trip!
From Janessa,
Wow! We're finally here in Germany! I have to say that these past couple of days have gone by so fast already! We all have been having a great time here with the Talley's. Visiting Berlin today and seeing the different culture is, like Kirsten said, a huge eye opener! The people are a silent people and they seem to be so unhappy and it is obvious because of the atheistic view they have here. They are missing something and that is God. I am so happy that God has given me the opportunity to come here and help the Talley's spread the Word. I just want to say hi to my family, I know that it will be hard for you guys to figure out how to use this website, but hopefully you get to see this message! Love you! And of course hi to Josh and tell your family I say hi! Miss you guys a lot and can't wait to see you again!
From Jessica,
After our first full day in Germany, I am just so thankful for the opportunity to be here and experience a different culture like this! We are all praising the Lord for safety this far, and for working everything out so well. The Lord opened up a door for me to give a tract to some ladies at the airport who were asking about our trip. Please pray for watering of the seeds that have been planted so far! I would have to say, as others have, that there is a definite difference in the demeanor of the German people. I think that has been the biggest thing to get used to so far. It has been just such a fun and interesting trip so far! We have learned so much and made so many memories already. I am just so excited to see what God has for us in these next days! Thank you so much for your prayers! Please continue to pray as we start going into the schools and have real interaction with the Germans! I miss you all back home so much! Mom, Dad, Zach, Joey, I love you guys so much and can't wait to see you!!
From Deborah
First of all i would like to give a shout-out to my wonderful boyfriend.. you know who you are.... unfortunately I don't.... anyway.....mom you would be proud of me.. i have not yet been kidnapped or held captive! We have had a wonderful time so far, it still is so weird to think we are actually in Germany. I wanted to shoot the lady on the plane who wanted to serve me breakfast at 4 o'clock in the morning then i realized with the time change it was more like a mid morning snack!. After a full day of being out and about it made me realize how vocal we are in the states. In the train stations and especially on the trains our group would talk and everyone would just stare at us like we were being so loud! We tried being quiet but i couldn't decide if it was more awkward to try to be quiet, or to talk and have them stare. I was really burdened with how sad the people look. In passing on the streets the people just look empty and sad. It just made me thank the Lord for the joy and hope he gives. I'm so excited for the opportunity of being here...... i can't wait until tomorrow!!
Mother Charlene, Father Stephen, Sister Karis, Brother James, and Brother David i miss you guys so much and can't wait to see you!
