Maranatha has competed in intercollegiate women’s basketball since the school was founded in 1968. The Crusaders won their first NCCAA national championship in 1999. The team has qualified for the NCCAA national tournament in each of the last six seasons, including runnerup finishes in 2011 and 2012. Clayton Morrison has been head coach since the 1993-94 season. The Crusaders compete in the Northern Athletics Conference and are members of NCAA Division III and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).
